In the run-up to the 2014 Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in The Hague, this discussion report reviews and critiques India's commitments and responsibilities regarding the security of nuclear materials. Individual contributions focus on: 1) India’s perception and response to multilateral processes to ensure global nuclear security; 2) measures India can take to bolster efforts to improve global nuclear security; 3) best practices that fissile materials' security countries should adopt; and 4) India’s reactions to the 2012 NSS Seoul Communiqué.
