More specifically, it looks at how NATO evolved following the demise of the Soviet threat; provides a summary of some of its operations, particularly in Afghanistan; looks at how the concept of mutual security provided by the Alliance works in practice; and examines its relations with Russia and how this may affect the future of the Alliance.
