This paper looks at the economic infrastructure problems faced by India as burgeoning trade puts pressure on India's inefficient ports and rapid urbanization strains the country's unreliable electricity and water networks. It also highlights the problems India faces in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and the prospects of the country finding the financing to address its infrastructure issues.
