This paper looks at the ongoing relationship between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), particularly when it comes to promoting global governance. It concludes that cooperation between these two organizations is heavily dependent on the initiative of individual member states and that it has been merely episodic thus far. Given the latter truth, the paper concludes by examining how the EU and the GCC might work more closely together on assorted global governance challenges.
