This paper discusses performance and policy indicators for the reduction, reuse and recycling (3Rs) of waste as well as resource efficiency in Asia. In particular, it discusses why the indicators are useful in monitoring progress in 3R efforts, existing good practices, opportunities for improving the capacity related indicator and target-setting and information availability in Asia. It also includes fact sheets on a selection of existing 3R policy indicators.
