This report features a collection of commentaries on the peace talks that have been occurring between the Tehreek‐e‐Taliban Pakistan (TTP) organization and the Pakistani government. The commentaries examine, for example, 1) how Pakistan’s different political parties and its military view the talks; 2) the perceived general objectives of the TTP; 3) the prospects of the talks yielding a genuine peace; and 4) what the government seeks to gain by negotiating with the TTP.
