This brief provides an overview of India’s parliamentary elections in April/May 2014. The author argues that the elections will symbolize a change in many ways – from an almost certain change in the political leadership and landscape in the country to a general change in the Indian public’s attitudes and aspirations towards good governance and economic growth.
