This brief discusses India’s position on the Ukraine crisis and Russia's annexation of Crimea. The author reviews India’s official and unofficial statements and argues that the country is drifting towards the Russian narrative. He then comments on the strategic and ideological reasons for India’s seeming preference for Russia and discusses what the EU and the US should do to win India over to their side.
