This book contains a number of articles examining the enlargement of the eurozone from economic, political and legal perspectives. Specific topics include the Slovak experience with the euro and the factors behind Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary’s position on the euro; the influence of foreign direct investment in regional imbalances in Central and Eastern Europe; the impact of monetary integration on trade within the euro area; and Greece’s role in triggering the eurozone crisis.
