This study analyses economic relations between the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and those of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). In particular, the authors look at relations between the countries of these regions before, during and after the accession of CEE countries to the EU and the evolution of their economic exchanges. They also examine the relations the LAC countries have with the EU itself and provide recommendations on how CEE and LAC countries can improve their economic and political ties.
