In this interview transcript, Ambassador Ranjit Gupta discusses the evolution of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi‐Sectoral and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) and its national and regional significance. He further explains why the sub‐regional grouping did not initially take off the way it should have and goes over the necessary steps that need to be taken to make BIMSTEC a success.
