In light of the success in Iraq of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIS) against the Iraqi state forces in June 2014, this note summarizes what has been said by UK and US politicians regarding the possible military options to deal with the group. The author states that The UK Government is not planning a British military intervention in Iraq and the US President has ruled out sending US troops back into combat in the country.
