This paper provides a brief overview of the UK government’s Chilcot inquiry into the country's involvement in the 2003 Iraq war. It addresses the establishment of the inquiry, the controversies surrounding its openness to the public, the hearings, the publication of the inquiry report, as well as the costs the inquiry is likely to incur.
