This paper discusses the impact of the Internet on Chinese society, its economy and foreign relations. It contains articles on 1) trends in China’s mobile and IT industry, 2) Chinese cybersecurity and its impact on the country’s diplomatic relations, 3) online finance and its impact on the Chinese financial sector, 4) information management and internet regulation in China, and 5) the development of so called "human flesh searches" in China, which consist of people using the Internet to identify and expose individuals who have been seen breaking the law.
