This paper examines Pakistan’s anti-terror operation (called Zarb-e-Azb) in North Waziristan, launched on 15 June 2014. It reviews the events that led to the Zarb-e-Azb operation and reflects on the key considerations of Pakistan’s leadership when launching it. The paper concludes by looking at the most likely outcomes of the operation as well as the its implications for Pakistan and regional stability.
