This bulletin examines the possibility of Finland joining NATO under its staunchly pro-accession Prime Minister Alexander Stubb. The author contends that such a prospect seems distant due to negative Finnish public opinion and blatant threats from Russia. However, he also points out that Finland could cooperate with NATO to a greater level, which would allow it to join the Alliance quickly and have in place the technical abilities to receive substantial military support, when threatened by potential aggression from Russia.
