This paper presents a profile of the ammunition types that are in circulation in Côte d’Ivoire. The author argues that the types of ammunition the Small Arms Survey has found in the country may indicate that the rebel forces have the financial resources and contacts to procure ammunition at markets outside the country's borders. He contends that a confirmation of this would have serious ramifications for security analyses in the country.
