This report describes the main topics discussed between US and Chinese senior governmental representatives at the 8th China-US Dialogue on Strategic Nuclear Dynamics in Beijing in 2013. Among the main issues explored at the event were the US and Chinese positions on 1) strategic nuclear relations and the challenges facing nonproliferation; 2) nuclear doctrines and force modernization; and 3) missile defense.
