This paper assesses the impact that the Euromaidan revolution has had on Ukrainian society and politics. First, the paper briefly describes how Euromaidan developed from pro-European student protests into a fortified resistance camp demanding regime change. Then it discusses how the protest changed the composition of Ukrainian civil society and altered relations between civil society and political actors. Finally, the paper proposes a number of recommendations on how the EU could maximize its support for Ukrainian civil society.
