This monograph explores the political impact of Islamist parties in the Middle East and North Africa since 2011. More specifically, it 1) identifies the factors that contributed to the victory of Islamist parties in Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia; 2) examines their performance while in power, particularly in the case of policy development; and 3) confirms that the foreign policy aims of Islamist political parties in North Africa have actually coincided with those of the US and its allies in a number of key areas.
