This paper discusses three events that put cybersecurity at the forefront of NATO's agenda and examines how the Alliance has addressed the resulting challenges. The author also comments on the variety of cyber terminology and how it can lead to confusion within NATO. This is why she finally recommends that NATO should help to establish a precise linguistic foundation to efficiently and effectively fight threats emerging from cyberspace.
