This is a transcript of a testimony given by CGD’s Arvind Subramanian before the US Congress Sub-Committee on Monetary Policy and Trade on the global impact of the US Federal Reserve’s quantitative easing (QE) program. Subramanian argues that QE has generally had a positive impact on emerging markets and the global economy. However, he also suggests that in some instances QE has added to pressures on emerging markets.
