This paper proposes a solution to the conflict in Gaza between Israel and Hamas which started in July 2014. The author argues that a radical solution to the conflict might be for Israel, Egypt and others involved in the conflict to directly work with Hamas and agree to the group's demand for a seaport in Gaza. He suggests that while Israel's government and the Palestinian Authority would not be in favor of the proposal, it could pave the way for a better life for those in Gaza and increased cooperation with the West Bank.
