This paper examines the debate over the inclusion of peace in the post-2015 development agenda. The authors first outline some of the key UN and other international organization summits and conferences on the post-2015 development agenda as well as what they have recommended with regard to the inclusion of peace. They then 1) discuss the reasons why peace should be included in the agenda; 2) examine key concerns over the inclusion of peace and respond to them; and 3) provide recommendations on how to establish a development framework that is effective in promoting peace.
