This paper discusses the key issues covered in the first round of US-China dialogue on nonproliferation and nuclear security that took place in June 2014. These include 1) a comparison of US-China perspectives on nuclear dangers; 2) the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) review process; 3) nonproliferation noncompliance; 4) crisis management and nuclear-use prevention; 5) nuclear security; as well as 6) opportunities and challenges for enhancing US-China cooperation in these domains.
