This commentary examines what the EU can do to improve the humanitarian and general situation in Gaza following the July-August 2014 conflict between Hamas and Israel. One suggestion is for the EU to focus on the work of its civilian crisis management missions in Gaza in order to bring about an end to the blockade on the territory.
