This paper provides an overview of the make up and role of the United Nations General Assembly. More specifically, the authors review 1) what the UN General Assembly is and its membership; 2) whether the General Assembly is in need of reform; 3) if any of its members have been punished by the General Assembly; and 4) some of the most noteworthy actions taken by the assembly.
