This paper examines the effect which the extension of voting rights to Turkish citizens oversees for the August 2014 presidential elections in the country had on the levels of voter turnout amongst emigrants. The author explains that although overall levels of emigrant participation were low, there is room for improving ways which these voters could be reached in future elections.
