This commentary discusses Afghanistan's 2014 presidential elections and the subsequent political crisis as well as how both of these developments have affected the country's domestic political scene and its foreign policy. The author also examines NATO's mission in the country and argues that going forward it will need to advance constitutional reforms for the sake of the country's future stability and demonstrate its commitment to the Afghanistan National Security Forces (ANSF).
