In light of continued disagreements between Russia and Ukraine over the status of Russian speaking majority areas in southern Ukraine, and the violence involving pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, this paper looks at whether Moldova's pro-Russian breakaway region of Transnistria will provide a further potential flashpoint between Kiev and Moscow.
