This note provides a brief overview of the 2014 conflict between Israel and Hamas militants in Gaza. It describes 1) the political situation in Gaza; 2) a chronology of events; 3) the number of casualties; and 4) the terms of the ceasefire between the two sides, which was signed on August 26th 2014.
