This paper examines the disruptive impact that 3D-printing could have on societies, their manufacturing processes and their security. In the last case, the dangers could include 1) the printing of hard-to-trace non-metallic weapons or even unmanned aerial vehicles, 2) the ability of countries to bypass international sanctions, 3) the capacity to negate intellectual property rights in the defense sector and much more.
