This paper analyzes labor market integration in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and suggests how these countries could seek common ground in their labor market policies. More specifically, the authors 1) discuss the labor market integration efforts that have already taken place around the world; 2) outline the GCC countries' labor markets in terms of their composition and productivity; and 3) give policy recommendations on how these countries can address address the imbalances in the labor market.
