This issue of JEMIE discusses the issue of Europeanization, which is the adaptation to European-level norms and rules by EU member states, and how it applies to policies affecting minorities within these states. More specifically, the articles examine 1) approaches to researching Europeanization and minority politics; 2) the effect of Europeanization on the "new" Central and Eastern European EU member countries policies on Roma minorities; 3) how Europeanization applies to Danish minority policy; 4) the impact of Europeanization on minority communities in the "old" member states of Italy and France; and 5) how Europeanization is affecting on the cases for secession in Catalonia and Scotland.
