This paper discusses the Ebola virus, its outbreak in 2014 and response to the outbreak. More specifically, the author describes 1) what Ebola is and how it is transmitted; 2) the best way to contain it; 3) why the 2014 outbreak occurred in West Africa; 4) how the international community responded to the outbreak; 5) how the US and Europe responded to the Ebola cases in their territories following the outbreak in West Africa; 6) how many people were affected by the outbreak of the virus; and 7) the long term consequences of the outbreak.
