Prior to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meetings in November 2014, this commentary criticizes the Obama government's approach in Asia which, it argues, does not attribute enough importance to stopping China’s expansionist behavior in the region. The author then suggests how the US should apply its leverage to influence Chinese behavior.
