This bulletin discusses the implications of a corruption scandal in Georgia's Ministry of Defense, which began in October 2014, for the country's coalition government and Tbilisi's relations with the EU and NATO. The author contends that the scandal - and the subsequent dispute which led to the Free Democrats leaving the government coalition - has not ended the process of rapprochement between Georgia and the EU and NATO. However, he also suggests that the EU should not ignore the criticisms of the government from politicians who have left the coalition and that the Union and NATO should put pressure on Tbilisi to make public all the details concerning the corruption case.
