This commentary argues that Turkey has failed to provide sufficient humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees now stranded within its borders. Yes, Ankara overestimated its ability to provide such aid, which means 1) it needs its European partners (especially Germany) to take up the slack, and 2) to adopt a long-term strategy to deal with the refugee problem.
