This paper discusses the development of secular Palestinian NGOs and civil society in the post-Oslo period. The author explains how the establishment and operation of Palestinian NGOs has been largely dependent on foreign aid and international donors, and details how the international community has supported Palestinian organizations with the aim of strengthening economic prosperity and ensuring regional peace prospects.
