This bulletin examines the implications of the European Commission's plans for 2015 on how to review the EU's neighborhood policy, particularly towards the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries. The author suggests that the goals of the plans are to better secure EU interests in trade, energy and security and to seek enhanced project cooperation with the Union's neighbors. However, she also suggests that the plans could lead to a departure from the political objectives of the EaP, such as support for democratic transition. She also provides recommendations on how Poland can respond to the changes in the European Commission's neighborhood policy.
