This paper discusses Russia's foreign policy engagement and relations with Asia since Moscow launched its “turn to the East” policy in 2010. In particular, the author focuses on Russia's relations with China, India and Japan as well as Asia's multilateral organizations. In general, he contends that the "turn to the East" policy has failed to bring about a fundamental change in relations between Russia and its Asian partners, nor has it significantly reinforced Moscow’s position in East Asia.
