This commentary argues that Tunisia's democratic transition process is unfolding in increasingly difficulty circumstances such as the country's economic crisis and security challenges posed by armed Islamists. The authors also discuss what Germany should do if it wants to prevent a reversal of the political achievements made in Tunisia. One such thing, they argue, would be to considerably expand its economic and security cooperation with the country.
