This paper summarizes the outcomes of a Nuclear Energy Experts Group (NEEG) meeting on nuclear governance in the Asia Pacific held in Thailand in October 2014. Among other issues, the experts discussed 1) the role of the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) process; 2) gaps and limitations in nuclear governance; 3) technical approaches to improving management of civilian nuclear activities; and 4) regional approaches to improving nuclear safety and security governance.
