This commentary examines the state of EU-Vietnam negotiations for a free trade agreement as well as what such an agreement could mean for both actors. It also looks at the opportunities and challenges the agreement would create for European companies. In general, the author contends that the agreement could reduce customs and administrative barriers in access to both markets and thus contribute to closer bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
