This paper contains a number of articles that examine the implications of the rise of the so-called Islamic State (IS) on the wider Middle East. Among other issues, they look at 1) the Islamic State’s regional strategy; 2) the impact of IS on Egyptian security-oriented policies; 3) Iran’s strategy against IS; 4) Israel’s threat assessment of IS; 5) a Saudi view on IS; and 6) the pressure Turkey is under to take a stance against IS.
