This paper draws on debates among Chinese think tanks and expert analysts to examine perspectives in China on economic reform in the country. In particular, the authors examine perspectives in China on 1) the implementation of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, which was created in 2013; 2) the enforcement of China’s Anti-Monopoly Law; 3) the future management of foreign direct investment in China; and 4) the pace of China's removal of restrictions on the international exchange of the renminbi, China's official currency.
