This paper looks at some of the main political and security issues that could affect Pakistan in 2015. In particular, the author focuses on 1) civil-military relations in the country; 2) potential developments in the area of domestic party politics; 3) the country's policy toward Kashmir and its relations with India in relation to this issue; and 4) the implications for Pakistan of the rise of the Islamic State. The author also looks at developments in these areas that occurred in 2014.
