This paper looks at some of the main political and security issues that could affect Pakistan in 2015. In particular, the author focuses on 1) the nature of party politics in the country; 2) the country's counterterrorism policy and operation as well as the implications of the attack on an army public school in Peshawar in December 2014; 3) the establishment of military courts to deal with terrorists; and 4) Pakistan's relations with Afghanistan, India, the US and China. The author also provides a review of security and political developments in Pakistan during 2014.
