This paper examines the state of the Communist Party of India‐Maoist (CPI‐Maoist) in India and its conflict with the Indian state. Among other issues, the author examines 1) the ideology of CPI‐Maoist; 2) the decline in CPI‐Maoist's strength during 2014; 3) the governments strategy for fighting against CPI‐Maoist; and 4) whether CPI‐Maoist will continue its campaign against India's security forces in 2015.
