This paper features a number of articles on economic interaction between the EU and its neighbors in the Mediterranean region. Among other issues, the articles focus on their relations in 1) education and innovation; 2) governance and institutional development; 3) investment and trade; and 4) labor mobility. The articles also provides recommendations for the EU and other actors on how to improve the relations between EU institutions, the Union's members states and countries in the Mediterranean region.
